LCD Privacy Glass

The LCD (Liquid Crystal Devices) Privacy Glass allows users to switch the glass between clear or opaque states to achieve privacy as needed.

Powered by 110VAC but uses a low DC current, LCD glass allows light and sun to pass through. When turned OFF, the LCD glass turns opaque and diffuses light.

Aside from providing instant privacy, LCD glass reduces glare and shields 99% of UV rays which are harmful to furniture and artwork.

Benefits of Using LCD glass

Daylight harvesting – reduce the need for artificial lighting by creating designs that use natural light for illumination. A reduction in internal electrical lighting needs show a potential annual savings of 35% - 60% on lighting energy.

Eliminate window coverings and maintenance costs – LCD glass blocks the view but doesn’t block the light. This is a great advantage over blinds that can’t provide privacy and brightness at the same time.

Block UV Rays - LCD smart glass blocks almost 99% of UV rays thus help in the preservation of artwork and furniture.

Have an instant projection surface – At its diffused state, the LCD panel also becomes an excellent projection surface.

Argon filled; Shapes, Holes, Bent, Curved, Butt Glazed;
Flat, Beveled, Sanded, Seamed & Pollished edges;
Film setback: 1/8" on all edges;
Minimum Framing Bite: 1/2" on busbar edge;
Mounting Options: Windows, doors, and skylights; and
UL approved construction, fittings and connectors.

Decoration Options

Sandblast, Laser etch, Stained Glass overlays, Patterns, Divided Lites, Segmenting.
